What to do with the speed pedelec at the end of my contract?

You have two options:

1. You take over the speed pedelec

  • Step 1: Have the number plate annulled

o2o is the title holder or owner of the number plate attached to your speed pedelec, as indicated on the registration certificate. Have this number plate annulled at DIV Brussels or send the plate to DIV Brussels via a nearby postal office. Please take into account the deregistration cost (€17.99).

Please note: Be sure to have the number plate annulled. This will allow you to re-register the bicycle in your own name.

  • Step 2: Register the bicycle

Re-register the bicycle in your own name and apply for a new number plate. Check the federal government website for practical information on how to do this. This information can be found under the section 'How to register a used vehicle?'

2. You return the speed pedelec to o2o

  • Step 1: Leave the number plate on the bicycle

Leave the number plate on the speed pedelec. Also have the two original parts of the registration certificate and the original COC conformity certificate (which you received from the bicycle dealer at the start of the lease contract) ready to hand in.

  • Step 2: Hand in the bicycle

You deliver the speed pedelec, together with the number plate and the original documents, to the selected pick-up partner. This partner will contact you by email to arrange a pickup appointment.

    Please note!

    • The bicycle will only be accepted if all necessary documents, chargers, keys and codes (for Stromer models) are presented with it. Have you lost one or both parts of your registration certificate or COC certificate of conformity? Follow the steps in ‘What if I lose my speed pedelec number plate or accompanying documents?’ before your lease contract expires.

    • Return the bicycle in good condition and use your remaining service budget to have the bicycle checked by your bicycle dealer. This will help you avoid any unpleasant surprises at the end of your lease contract. If the bicycle is not in good condition, there is a chance that we will not take it back.
