What about the maintenance budget at the end of my contract?

Empty

Here, you can find information about what you must do with your maintenance budget in these two situations:

  • Your contract will expire soon

  • Your contract is ending early

Is your lease contract ending soon and is some of your maintenance budget still left over?

ℹ️ Your contract will end once the specified lease period has passed. We will let you know four months in advance that the end date of your contract is approaching.

You will then have 3 options, which you can perfectly combine if needed:

  • Option 1: Before your lease ends, you can use the remaining amount of your maintenance budget to service or repair the bicycle. If you return your lease bicycle, and it is in poor condition, o2o will use this budget itself to service or repair the lease bicycle.

  • Option 2: Before your lease ends, you can use the remaining amount of your maintenance budget to buy spare parts in order to carry out maintenance or repairs to the bicycle.

  • Option 3: If some of your maintenance budget is still left over after options 1 and 2, you can lease a new bicycle within 6 months [1] after your previous contract ends, and we will simply transfer the unused balance of your maintenance budget to your new lease automatically.

Please note: if your maintenance budget is in negative figures at the time when your contract ends (which is very unlikely), you will need to pay the outstanding balance directly to o2o or to your employer.

If your contract is ending before the intended end date

The following information is important to know:

  • If you are taking over the bicycle, we will take the remaining maintenance budget into account in the takeover price.

  • If you are returning the bicycle, we will take the remaining maintenance budget into account in the termination fee.

  • The maintenance budget balance can be positive or negative. If your balance is negative, it means that you have used more of your maintenance budget than you have built up, so you will have to pay the outstanding amount to o2o or to the employer.

[1] If your employer uses a cafeteria plan, and you can only order your new bicycle once a year, we can make an exception in this regard.
