My bicycle has been delivered, what should I pay attention to?

  1. You obviously want to protect your new lease bicycle from theft as much as possible. Be sure to pay attention to the following:
    1. Make sure that you ALWAYS lock the bicycle and that you anchor it to a bike stand or other fixed device. Anchoring is not necessary in case you can prove (with the necessary police certificates and breakage marks) that the bicycle was stolen from a fully locked and covered space, such as one's own garage or home, which is not accessible to other persons. For more info on this, be sure to take a look at the Bicycle Care Theft Terms and Conditions.
    2. In case of theft, you should always return 2 bicycle keys to o2o. This is how you prove that the bicycle was locked. If you only have 1 key, the refund may be refused. An expert may be appointed in case of doubt. Have you lost your bicycle key? Then be sure to take action and follow the instructions in 'Lost or broken your bicycle key or lock?'
  2. You want to go and explore as much as possible on your new lease bicycle and try out new routes. In case of a breakdown on the road, it is handy to be able to count on assistance.
Check whether your breakdown assistance has been activated in myo2o Biker. If this is the case, keep the unique number of o2o Bicycle Leasing (see myo2o Biker - not valid for AG Insurance customers) and put it in your mobile phone, for example. This way you will always hit the road carefree. You can find all the info about the breakdown assistance by scanning your bikeID sticker.
Extra tip: be prepared for a flat tyre and remember to put an extra spare inner tube in your bicycle bag. Always handy!
  3. If you have an accident with a third party, it is important that you always have a road accident certificate drawn up. In case of an accident, follow the step-by-step plan in our Bicycle Care Damage Terms and Conditions. This way you can rest assured that your claim file has been drawn up correctly.
